Layana leads her projects as an explorer with a strong passion for spatial designs. She brings her experience from commercial housing flat designs to small-scale apartments, with a deep understanding of complex spatial solutions complimenting the urban context.
Having worked with prominent design and construction companies in grand projects such as airports, resorts, and mosques, Layana also has the capacity to lead ambitious multi-scale projects. Her precision and attention to detail deliver technically and strategically beautiful solutions. At Doric, Layana is particularly known as a person who nurtures lasting bonds with her clients by understanding their needs and guiding them through the design process to solve even highly complicated issues.

Isha has been working in architecture and design since 2007. During this time she has collaborated with architects on projects in both Maldives and abroad. Her experiences have been centered around designing residential and commercial projects in an urban context.
Her passion for environmentally adaptive urban living brings an innovative spirit to the team. She aspires to continue creating thoughtful environments that speak to her clients through each space. She enjoys listening to Coldplay and swimming or doing anything related to water during her free time.

Zia has worked across a range of private and public sector projects since her graduation in 2017. This has provided her with the experience of designing spaces in recreational, institutional, large-scale of commercial housing buildings & small-scale residential projects.
The biggest thrill of architecture & design for her is that this work requires being multi-disciplined and having the ability to wear many hats. Zia is very detail-oriented with an eye for aesthetics. She takes pride in the process and thoroughly enjoys each phase of the project, continually going back and forth between the details.

Jeehan perceives architecture as something so much more than just buildings. Art, science and design come together to form spaces that define our everyday lives. She aspires to break the grid-like architecture in the Maldives - by challenging herself to introduce more diverse, organic types of architecture.
Jeehan joined Doric with an interest to learn more about architecture and the built environment. She also brings in the energetic mindset of a young architect into the team.
